Pricing & Membership FAQs

Why is this pricing structure different from studios?

Classes at Kanda are more education-oriented and intimate than other virtual classes or studio classes. The memberships create consistency in your practice and encourage community with classmates.

Memberships include access to the Virtual Library with new classes posted each week. This complementary subscription includes recorded classes, workshops, webinars, philosophy lectures, The Fundamentals of Yoga course and the 20-Minute Miracles course. This rich resource to support your home practice and self-study is regularly $54/month.

Which plan is best for me?

That depends on how regularly you attend class.

  • Unable to attend consistently? Drop-Ins are best when you’re hit and miss.

  • Coming at least 3x/month? With the Eka Membership you have 1 class/week. You also get a Virtual Library Membership.

  • Plan to come at least 6x/month? Then the Sukha Membership is a great deal because you have 2 classes/week plus the Virtual Library.

  • Want lotsa yoga???? You need a Maha Membership. You get 3 classes/week and the Virtual Library.

How does membership work?

Membership programs are monthly auto-debit subscriptions. With your membership, you get a certain amount of classes per month. You can mix and match and make up classes any time during the month. For example, if you miss your Tuesday morning class for work, you can jump into Thursday evening. If you miss a week because of travel or you’re under-the-weather, you can “make up” those classes another week.

Can I just pay for the classes I attend?

Yes, when you only come sporadically, register as a “Drop-In”. Keep in mind that if you're practicing regularly, membership are a better deal.

What if I miss classes?

Pricing takes into consideration the necessity of missing class now and then. In fact, pricing is based on the bad math of 4 weeks/month. If you multiple 4 weeks by 12 months, you get 48 weeks. When we realized the “bad math mistake”, we decided to keep it because it gives you and us 4 weeks of wiggle room for holidays, personal days, etc.

What if Alison is misses classes?

Alison will occasionally miss class due to illness and other life events (like family time, holidays, jury duty). When this occurs, we will reschedule classes or invite guest teachers.

What if I want to put my membership on hold or cancel?

Membership asks for at least a 3-month commitment. You can cancel or change your membership plan at anytime online or email us at - support@kandayogaschool.com - directly.

I want more classes per week, but only on some weeks. How do I book more classes without switching memberships?

Every membership page has a “Book extra classes” option. Here’s a video tutorial showing how to book your extra class when you need to.

What if I need to cancel a class? How do I do that?

Sometimes you need to quickly cancel a class. We understand. This is why we’ve created a video tutorial on how to cancel a class.

I have one of the four memberships (Eka, Sukha, Maha, or Virtual Library). How do I book webinars or workshops?

Webinars and Workshops are often included in membership and posted in the virtual library afterwards.

The workshops and webinars do not take away from your membership’s virtual class allotment.

You book workshops and webinars inside your membership area under the “special events” tab.

What if small group classes are out of my budget?

If price is the only obstacle, contact Alison directly.
