INNER SANCTUARY

Evolve Your Practice into a Healing Art.

Get all the Details.

DOES YOUR PRACTICE NEED NEW LIFE?

Traditionally, you would learn yoga, build a relationship with the practice, and have a personal, sustainable health and wellness ritual.

Unfortunately, with modern studio classes, you can do yoga for years and never really learn yoga.

Then, when your practice needs to shift, evolve, or become self-directed you lack the skills or knowledge to maintain momentum.

Embed a New Way of BEING

Ideally, your physical practice is a transformation station, a way to calibrate body, mind and spirit. Qualities like balance, spaciousness, and wholeness become embedded in your bones and tissues.

When you practice in this way, it’s more than poses. It's about your BEING. Practice becomes a process of turning inward, listening, responding, and creating. It's rich, rewarding, and eternally interesting.

12-WEEK IMMERSION

During the 12-week immersion, you're guided through an online curriculum, supported by mentoring, create consistency during weekly small group session, and have 1:1 time to personalize your learning.

The program is more than information, it's a process of transformation.

TESTIMONIALS

"I am surprised at how much this study rippled into the walking world: how much quicker I am to respond to inner promptings, how that creates much more clarity and calm. I feel conflict leaves me more quickly than it ever has. Less chewing on things. Less worrying about things. I wasn't necessarily expecitng this course (or any course) to have such immediate effect. This course wasn't linear. It was more cyclical. That was awesome on multiple levels and built gradually self-fortifying awareness."

-Brett Scott

"The best part of this program has been the great leap in personal growth that has occurred. Areas of my life and practice that have felt stuck, dense or heavy shifted and evolved into a new paradigm of seeing and being. There has been a lovely sense of spaciousness and compassion towards myself and others around me. I feel like I am walking through the world with new eyes."

THIS IS HOW WE GROW

I’ve made this journey. 20 years ago, yoga saved me. Practice became my sanctuary from anxiety and depression.

Then, I started doing yoga how I did everything else, with striving, grasping, never-enough energy. My body told the tale with chronic SI instability and aching elbows.

It took me years to figure out that bigger backbends, flasher arm-balances and more inversions weren’t going to give me what I was craving.

Eventually, I found a way across the practice plateau by studying complimentary traditions and sciences - like polyvagal theory, neuroscience, fascia, and functional breathing.

I created Inner Sanctuary because I’ve seen clients and students encounter the same problems over and over again. We needed a more sustainable solution than 1:1 sessions. A more focused path than classes. A way to grow and learn other than teacher trainings.

Inner Sanctuary is a synthesis of east and west, ancient and modern. It’s a way to evolve your practice from pose performance into a sustainable, reliable, inspirational ritual of connection.

  • You want to learn about your body, yoga philosophy and practice methodology.
  • You’re ready to challenge out-dated alignment principles and movement patterns.
  • You’re willing to slow down, go deep, and make your practice truly healing.
  • You’d like soul-company and community connection on your yoga journey.

This course is NOT for you if…

  • Your primary motive for practice is exercise.
  • You believe that a deeper, stronger, or more “advanced” practice requires bigger poses.
  • You’re not ready to do inner work (journaling, meditation, inner inquiry).
  • You have no knowledge of anatomy or alignment (you need our Fundamentals Course first).
  • You have an acute injury, limited mobility or recent surgery. (The practice we do in Inner Sanctuary is therapeutic but still dynamic)

Is this for yoga students or yoga teachers?

This program is for anyone who wants to evolve their practice into a healing art and less of an exercise regime.

If you’re a yoga student, this is a foundation for powerful and sustainable practice. What you learn here is rarely taught and will serve you in any class, studio or yoga community.

If you’re a teacher, this program will revitalize your personal practice and give you tremendous insight for teaching. You’ll learn about yoga philosophy and methodology as well as subtle body anatomy and alignment.

How much time do I need to dedicate to the course each week?

To get the most out of this course, we recommend 2-3 hours per week. This time includes your weekly class, watching the tutorials for the week, plus submitting homework and questions for mentoring.

What are the small group sessions like?

Small group sessions include content/lecture and practice. Practice teaches specific skills and subtle body alignment. There are demonstrations and explorations. The live sessions are like a mini-workshop.

When is the small group session?

The small group session day and time will vary. For example, the spring course might have class on Monday evening. And then a course in the fall might do Wednesday afternoon. If the upcoming program doesn’t work with your schedule, you can be on the waiting list for a future offer.

What if I miss a session?

All small group sessions will be recorded and posted in your online learning portal.

What if I'm going to miss several sessions?

If you’re going to miss 3 or more sessions, we recommend that you get on the waiting list and register for the next program.

When are 1:1 session scheduled?

You have (1) 1:1 sessions during the course. You’ll use an online scheduling software to pick your day and time.

How do I know if this is right for me?

Fill out an application and schedule a call. During the call, we’ll talk about your goals, I’ll give you some insight on your practice, and we’ll see if Inner Sanctuary is the right program for you.
